Comedy - Essential For My Health

I've been through some rough patches in my life recently, dealing with depression and anxiety, loss of income, and an overall feeling of just being completely lost as to where I want to go with my life. The more I wallow in my own misery, the worse it gets, and it can seem like the feelings of hopelessness and shame will never end.

Needless to say I've been in a "soul searching" period, trying to isolate what it is in my life that gives me true joy and pleasure. I find myself turning to music, comedy, friends and family. Good conversation, or a good laugh will usually jump-start my depressed mood and get me rolling toward something I think can really have a positive impact on my life.

Being involved as a creator of music since I was a youngster has always been a good outlet for stress, and it has helped me gain some small amount of approval from my peers, whatever that approval may mean.

So in the spirit of thinking positively, I leave you with this quote from Albert Einstein (did you know that Einstein was autistic?), and this classic hilarious rap parody video from Jon Lajoie. (With over 18 million views on Youtube, you've most likely ran across it if you are a youtube lurker whore like I am, and if not, get ready to grab your inhaler.)

“Personally, I experience the greatest degree of pleasure in having contact with works of art. They furnish me with happy feelings of an intensity that I cannot derive from other sources.”
—Albert Einstein --- Quoted by Moszkowski in Conversations with Einstein, 184

Oh and dont forget to buy the track on itunes if you like it, mothafuckas!
